9th-grade news for the first week of school, 2024

Welcome 9th-grade Students and Families,
We are happy to welcome you to the Churchill High School community. The first week of high school is an important milestone for our students. We want you to get the most out of your first few days as a student at Churchill. 

Here is some helpful information:

9th-Grade Timeline for Week 1
Tuesday, September 3 
  • Check StudentVUE or ParentVUE to see your class schedule. 
Wednesday, September 4 — 9th-Grade Orientation, 8:30 am – 2:30 pm
  • Arrive at Churchill by 8:30 AM
  • Bring yourself and your backpack. (To carry your student computer which we will check out to you on the first day!)
  • Do you ride the bus? Check https://4j.lane.edu/transportation or email transportation@4j.lane.edu for your routing information. 
  • Learn where your classes are. 
  • Check out your student computer.
Thursday, September 5 — First day of classes: A Day, periods 1 – 4
  • Arrive at Churchill before 8:30 am to get to your 1st-period class on time. 
Friday, September 6 — B Day, periods 5 – 8
  • Arrive at Churchill before 8:30 am to get to your 5th-period class on time. 

Great work! You made it through your first week of high school!

Parent Volunteers
We love our parent volunteers! We have volunteer opportunities for dance chaperones, field trip chaperones, support for athletic events, school plays, and more. Volunteers must complete an application and background check every two years.
